We, the producers of Crypto-Gin, are enthuse about two things: gin and cryptocurrencies. And we discovered: both match perfectly! Because we found a way to combine the two and to create an additional value for our customers.

For 2 years we have brought the recipe of the gin to perfection, so that a distillate was generated, which completely blew our minds away. In doing so, we relied on classical ingredients and complemented them with Mediterranean botanicals and aromas directly from the Black Forest.

In the Black Forest, our home, the distillation of high-quality spirits has a long tradition, but at the same time the Black Forest is also home to innovation. Therefore, we created a digital twin to our gin which is generated simultaneously to each batch of Crypto-Gin. A digital twin is the digital/virtual image of a real product. But where is the reference to the world of cryptocurrencies?   

In order to create a digital twin, we store the production and the bottling data immutably within a blockchain transaction. You can check on these data by scanning the QR code on the back of each bottle of Crypto-Gin. In order to do so, we use the Cardano blockchain, which allows the storage of meta data. Meta data are simply like the reason for payment of a classical bank transfer.

In this way we guarantee a clear, transparent and unfalsifiable traceability of every bottle of Crypto-Gin.
